Back in 2020, I shared a quote that I came up with: “Love what you do, and what you love to do will find you.” Recently, I ran across this quote by Albert Schweitzer: “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”

This whole time, I thought that I had an original thought behind my quote. It just goes to show that entirely original and new ideas are pretty rare. So, if this isn’t a new concept, why the heck can’t we get it right?

We often get stuck in the ‘my job sucks’ or ‘when will I be successful?’ mindset, and that’s a bad place to be. We often forget that we can still be happy and walk into work every day even if we don’t feel like it’s the “perfect” job.

One of the many reasons that I love our company is that we work to help people find their way. I used to say, “We hire good people and get out of their way,” but I have shifted that statement and mindset to, “We hire good people and help them find their way.”

At Pango Group, we look to hire people who are hungry, humble, and smart (and we’re looking for those people now!). But sometimes, it turns out a hungry, humble and smart person might not be in the right role.

And, that’s okay! It’s actually pretty exciting because our job then is to help them find that perfect position. It might be working in a different department, having a different boss, or moving to another office.

Sometimes, that even means that hungry, humble, and smart individuals find out that our organization isn’t the right company for them at all. And that’s still exciting because we get to help them find their way onto a new path that will light them up inside!

You may have heard us say that we’re currently on the hunt for new team members. Even if they don’t have escrow experience, we’d love to meet them! Just no knuckleheads 🙂

The takeaway (besides hoping to find some awesome new employees) is remembering that even if you aren’t 100% happy with your current job, do it with passion and with a smile on your face. That may very well lead you directly to your dream position.
